Baptism & Counseling

Child /Adult Baptism

Getting baptized is a command that every genuine Christian is called to obey (Matthew 28:19).  If a person is interested in getting baptized by our pastors, they must go through the following process:

  1. Watch/listen to the sermon “The Way We Worship - Baptism” (see Baptism Resources below)

  2. Attend the NCF membership class

  3. Write a one-page testimony that exhibits genuine faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ

  4. Meet with one of our pastors for approval and scheduling of baptism

Infant Baptism

NCF believes that God commands not only adult believers to get baptized but their children as well (Acts 2:39).  If a parent is interested in getting their infant baptized by our pastors they must go through the following process:

  1. Listen to the audio sermon “Why We Baptize Babies” (see Baptism Resources below)

  2. Attend the NCF membership class

  3. Write a one-page testimony that exhibits genuine faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ

  4. Read the short booklet “What Christian Parents Should Know about Infant Baptism” by John P. Sartelle (see Baptism Resources below)

  5. Meet with one of our pastors for approval and scheduling of baptism

Pre-Marital Counseling

Any engaged couple who attends NCF is welcomed to receive premarital counseling from Pastor John and his wife Sarah. This is a 3-4 session that meets in Pastor John’s home to address central and crucial issues to marriage. All couples who desire Pastor John to officiate their wedding must go through premarital counseling with him and his wife.

Pastoral Counseling

Counseling with our pastors is available upon request.  Please note that these counseling sessions are based on biblical truth and its application and therefore not substitutes for clinical or psychiatric needs.

If you are interested in any of the services offered above, reach out to our pastors and they’ll get back to you with next steps.
